the cycle of vintage
JUST HOW DO WE GET ALL THOSE CLOTHES, ANYWAYS?
Preloved fashion pieces are collected worldwide by
Charities keep a portion for their stores, and sell the excess to
sorting facilities around the world.
The sale of this clothing improves lives: proceeds go toward
various water, health, food, education, or disaster relief related
initiatives, among others.
Industrial sorting facilities divide items into clothing that can be
worn again or items ready for a second life as industrial rags, recycled
fibers, automobile insulation, and more.
To the rescue: our trained treasure hunters intervene to
choose the trend-driven vintage items that stock our stores.
This saves both rare beauties and beloved retro basics from the shredder.
We also choose items made with quality materials that have no
resale value as vintage, to be reconstructed later as new designs
for our Beyond Retro Label range.
Our handpicked vintage selections are carefully boxed, then
shipped to our London headquarters where they are prepped
for our retail stores.
From sorting factory to shop floor, the vintage journey unfolds
at our 10 stores across the UK and Sweden, with online sales
to countries around the world. The cycle repeats.
