The Position:
As an Area Manager Nordics, you will play a key role in leading and supporting our retail operations across the region. Reporting to the Director of Retail, you will directly manage the store managers in both Finland and Sweden, as well as the Sweden Warehouse Manager. You will be the driving force behind performance across these markets, ensuring that stores deliver exceptional customer experiences, operations run smoothly, and teams are aligned with company policies and objectives.
This is a hands-on role, based primarily in stores, where you will work closely with managers and their teams to inspire excellence, foster development, and achieve results. Given the regional scope, you will be expected to travel between 30%–50% of the time.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development

Lead, coach, and inspire store managers in Finland and Sweden, as well as the Sweden Warehouse Manager, to exceed sales, operational, and customer service targets.

Mentor and develop management teams, ensuring a strong talent pipeline and succession plan for key roles.

Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of store managers, visual merchandisers, and shopfloor teams.
Operational Excellence

Ensure that all stores consistently meet high standards in customer service, visual presentation, and operational efficiency.

Oversee warehouse operations in Sweden, collaborating with the Warehouse Manager to ensure pricing and productivity standards are met

Implement and monitor company policies, procedures, and sales initiatives across all locations.
Business Performance

Regularly visit stores across Finland and Sweden, engaging with teams and customers to identify opportunities, resolve issues, and drive results.

Monitor sales, stock movement, and performance reports, providing actionable feedback and coaching to managers.

Stay aware of competitor activity, both vintage and non-vintage, to inform strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
Customer & Product Focus

Drive customer service initiatives that deliver exceptional shopping experiences.

Provide feedback to the Director of Retail and Production teams on product quality, stock levels, and allocation to optimize sales and customer satisfaction.
Health, Safety & Compliance

Take responsibility for health and safety standards in stores, overseeing monthly checks and ensuring improvements or repairs are actioned.

Support store managers with people management processes, ensuring compliance with company policy and legal requirements.
Projects & Growth

Contribute to the setup and successful launch of new stores, pop-ups, and special events such as garage sales.

Assist with broader retail initiatives, bringing creativity and problem-solving skills to evolving business needs.
Preferred Qualifications/Competencies

Minimum 5 years of experience in a retail management role (multi-site experience is an asset).

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams.

Proven ability to drive sales, analyze performance, and implement operational improvements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset.

Experience in fashion retail or vintage clothing is an advantage.
