Hooded Velvet Cape | £60 | Available at our Brick Lane store
When we showed you our ten favourite Hawaiian shirts yesterday, we secretly held this one back to star on the Vintage Spotlight; and it's not difficult to see why. This 1950s number is absolutely magnificent, subdued in colour-way to satisfy those who don't favour the more traditionally garish prints, but depicting the surfers and palm trees demanded by the classic aloha aesthetic. Hawaiian shirts usually let their prints do the talking, but the detailing here is stunning - constructed from crepe weaves, horizontal buttonholes house coconut buttons and the print carries through the pocket. Anyone willing to invest in this will own their own piece of paradise, but if it's beyond your budget, be sure to check out the rest of our Hawaiian shirts here.
