Next Tuesday (18th October) sees Shoreditch's Space 54 host The Dionysian, a one off installation from the collective talents of director and visual artist Stephan Lally and fashion stylist and Beyond Retro press assistant Helen McGuckin. Celebrating the hedonistic glamour of the 1980s New Wave scene, The Dyonisian is a multimedia gallery event that fuses the worlds of fashion, film and art installation. Encompassing a ground floor of illustrative photos and a basement showing the film itself, the event tells the story of one girl's seduction by a monstrous family of Neo-romantic fashionistas, all controlled from afar by a mysterious, omnipotent vamp... We're very proud that one of Beyond Retro's own has been involved in such an exciting event. Check out Helen's work as a stylist here, and take a peek at director Stephen's site here. The event is free and open to everyone from 5.30PM - 9PM at 54 Rivington Street, EC2A 3QN; we hope to see you there!
