White Wall Cinema screens a variety of alternative, fun, interesting, unusual, cult, and all-time classic films in intimate locations around Brighton! Their "Secret Movie Club" project takes a movie you most likely haven't seen before (but will instantly love) and keeps the identity of the movie a secret, only revealing which film you are watching when the opening credits roll.

IT IS STILL 1985 - 10th Birthday!

It is still 1985 has provided Brighton with an awe-inspiring 80s party every single Saturday for 10 years. Starting off as an occasional party back in 2004 It is still 1985 went weekly in 2008 at the late New Hero nightclub, where it ran for a few years before becoming the flagship night of The Haunt Brighton where it has now run every single Saturday since the venue opened in 2011, right up until today where it continues to pack you guys in each and every week.

A full house of 80s party people every week for more than a decade is certainly something worth celebrating, so in order to say thanks to the many thousands of people that have made the night such an epic party each Saturday the guys at It is still 1985 are teaming up with us at White Wall Cinema to put on a series of free cult 80s movie screenings in Brighton and you're invited!

In keeping with White Wall Cinema's Secret Movie Club, you won't know what the movie is until the opening credits roll but as per usual, you'll be provided with a forgotten gem from the era. White Wall Cinema will be screening a movie that was one of the key inspirations for the creation of It is still 1985, it could be a film of any genre about any subject but one thing they can guarantee... it will be VERY 80s.

It won't be an obvious choice, so no Back To The Future, Ferris Bueller, Blade Runner, Breakfast Club, Goonies or Ghostbusters etc., this movie night is intended to bring you something a little off the beaten path.

So what will the 80s mystery movie be?! Keep your eyes peeled on White Wall Cinema's Instagram for clues all this week!
