London Fashion Week AW17 - Our Favourites

Posted on February 28 2017

London Fashion Week always bring an eclectic selection of the capital's best fashion and showcases it to the world. This season, we loved some of the influences from our favourite fashion eras and how some of today's best designers adapted these to make contemporary style statements. We take a look at our stand out trends and how you can recreate these with an authentic vintage feel!

80’S JACKETS
Shoulder pads were always due a comeback; AW17 saw an array of big power house jackets made for our era's modern woman. Designers such as Christopher Kane, Marques Almeida and Molly Goddard took the trend and made it their own.

Our online Selection has got some real 80s throwbacks! Our favourites don’t compromise on colour as that's what really makes this trend pop!

BLOUSES
Blouses really stole the show this season! They were loud and proud, making a real statement in every look. Preen had us swooning over ruffles, Henry Holland took us West, and Temperley reminded us that a good collar never goes out of style.

PRINTED SWEATSHIRTS
Casual wear has asserted itself as a catwalk essential. The 90s-led trend is tongue in cheek and is giving designers a platform to send a message. London-based designer, Clio Peppiatt, hailed femininity once again by showcasing some sassy sweats, and the look was synonymous in many LFW collections!

So there you have it, our roundup of our favourite LFW trends! We love that vintage styles are still a resounding influence on the catwalk and for the people attending LFW!
