After a long five days prancing across London, with aching feet, deepening bags under our eyes, we really need to unwind a little. Everybody now - ohhhhmmm.
Well, that' what Ashish advices. And whatever Ashish say - we do. Particularly after he delights us with as awesome a collection as this, we can say... We are not worthy.
The room was rammed full of Ashishaholics, including Beyond Retro lovers Jodie Harsh and Paloma Faith, all looking forward to the hotly-anticipated show entitled
Bollywouldn't. The show started with a blast of sitars, bass drums and techno beats with a humming that guided us through yoga instructions. The knitwear was emblazoned with the designer's signature slogans reminding us to "Breathe" and "Relax". Oh don't worry, Mr Ashish, we will.
Ying and yang, smiley faces and psychedelic prints clashed with tie-dye, sequins and bleached denim. This description doesn't do it justice as it enters headache territory, but oh boy did it work. For a nanosecond, we even considered getting Indian bridal nose rings to match our shimmering floor length dresses and 90s knitwear. This is the raver grown up. Or maybe just the raver going somewhere like, y'know, the Oscars or something...
