If you havent already seen Levis infamous Launderette ad from 1985, head to Youtube now and remember the 1950s American stonewash 501s with steamy frontman Nick Kamen to a soundtrack of Marvin Gaye. Next Pinterest stalk our beb Jane Birkin and watch James Dean in Rebel without a Cause. Now that should get you in the mood for the coolest garb known to man.Photographer: Molly Bridger Model: M&PModels
What a journey this fuss-free fabric of choice has been on. Take the humble dungaree, once reserved for navy sailors strutting around the deck circa 1500 and now a face of youthful cool with a rebellious must-have status. Levis Strausee created a strong style of workers pants with rivets in 1851 that was quickly adopted by coal miners. From Californian mines to WW1 factories to the runway and our everyday wardrobe, denim has had one hell of a revamp.Photographer: Molly Bridger Model: M&PModels
Update your collection of vintage beauties with 70s co-ords or laid back Levis. Think shirt dresses, cool collars, classic cuts and awkward cut offs. We are team blue.
