A 'Very' good start to LFW
Posted on September 13 2013
So the Fash-pack are out in force as of today for the most important date in anyone who's anyone's diary; London Fashion Week. Last night we were lucky enough to be invited to attend the Launch of Fearne Cotton's SS14 show at the stunning Claridges Hotel in Brooke Street West London, for her ongoing collaboration with Very.co.uk. Fearne herself of course looked beautiful in two of her own designs both striking red. The first, a cute 1960s style red lace skater which she wore to pose with her models before the show and the second, a stunning satin floor length gown with oversized sunflowers. Both have a great vintage feel and fearns quirky edge. It was a beautiful setting, cocktails and fruity mixes were served pre-show whilst we were blinded by camera flashes (not for us I'm afraid to say, they clearly didn't realise who were were!!) but it was fun playing 'spot the celebrity'. The Front row was quite a mix, Girl group Stooshe, MIC's Caggie Dunlop, Dougie 'Mcfly', TOWIEs Lydia Bright and the beautiful Ashley Roberts were just a few familiar faces among the eagle-eye press watching the wash of colour and prints march down the catwalk to rising star Chloe Howel and her band, we couldn't help but get our feet tapping to her very catchy melodies! We were invited as Beyond Retro were chosen to supply the accessories so this was very exciting; belts, hats and glasses were used to style up the collection; '...I also wanted the pieces to be versatile and wearable, swing dresses are perfect for this as you can dress them up or down' And we couldn't agree more with you Fearne, we loved the collection and cant wait to 'get into the swing' when the collection is launched late December. We think our Super cateye sunnies looked A-MAZE-ING and at only £8 you can grab some catwalk action and look like a star in store and online.
