This week’s vintage fox is coming to you from the sun soaked beaches and music filled Beyond Retro store of Brighton. Taking a break from listening to the amazing Rob The Rich to be papped for the Beyond Retro blog Hannah exudes summer festival cool with her Aggy style black bob, floral playsuit and battered DMs. If it weren’t for the cowichan and tights we’d think this was Coachella not Brighton. The security passes just make the outfit extra cool.

Maybe it’s the warehouse space, the scuffed-up floors, the comfy, old velveteen chairs or the hot, young staff. Something gives Beyond Retro that ‘hideout’ vibe. Like stumbling upon your favourite bar or finding a house party at 4am! With so much rock ‘n’ roll charm, we have invited some of our musically inclined friends to the party!

Take a look: On Thursday 22nd April we have The Molotovs playing their own sexed-up pop set to a backdrop of trash guitars and golden melodies. Catch them now, as their mini-tour rolls to an end! It kicks off at our Cheshire Street store from 6pm!

On Saturday, Beyond Retro in Brighton turn up the volume! Up and coming shining lights, ‘Holy Vessels’ will be making some noise at Vine Street from 2pm!

Beyond Retro is forever dressing homegrown superstars:  ‘Kate Nash’, ‘Marina and the Diamonds’ and ‘Paloma Faith’ frequently call upon us for spiky, pop starlet style. Their music videos would look less alluring without all the punk, glitz and colour we provide! So it makes sense when the worlds of fashion and music collide in-store!.

With shows coming up soon from ‘Rob the Rich’ and’ Pope Joan’ in Brighton, it makes us excited to see scenes like we did on Friday at Cheshire Street! An impromtu, last minute gig from East London leaders of the lo-fi pack,  Mazes and Spectrals, saw the store packed out!
