Social Media Coordinator

Beyond Retro is dedicated to bringing high quality vintage garments and accessories to fashion-forward customers through our stores in the UK, Sweden and around the world with beyondretro.com. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting brand leader within the retail fashion sector as a Social Media Coordinator.

The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for our brand voice online and keeping Beyond Retro at the forefront of our growing vintage community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To grow awareness, traffic, database numbers and sales for Beyond Retro
  • Manage the day-to-day running of all social media platforms for Beyond Retro
  • Create engaging creative and visuals for social media and web including copy, graphics and photography for all platforms in line with brand strategy and tone of voice
  • Research and create content for inclusion across all platforms
  • Compiling weekly reports to be shared with the Head of Ecommerce and Head of Press & Marketing
  • Keep up to date with and monitor new trends in social media and technology, feeding back to the team on a weekly basis
  • Identify newsworthy stories that will make for relevant content for the Beyond Retro blog and social media channels
  • Continually research new social media channels for company involvement, and propose new platforms and initiatives as and when necessary
  • Closely monitor the social media campaigns of our competitors
  • Assist with general admin support
  • Responsible for uploading all PR related website content to social media channels in a timely manner and with all product linking through to product available on the website
  • Contributing ideas for E-commerce and PR/marketing promotional campaigns, mailers and calendar
  • Supporting our SEO rankings

Skills:

  • Creative with a great eye for detail and able to style product for Instagram
  • Finger on the pulse culturally
  • A genuine passion for fashion, keeping up-to-date with industry news and seasonal trends
  • IT confident with a solid working knowledge of all social media platforms and their back-end systems
  • Competent and creative writer and able to work to a brief
  • Experience:

    • At least 2 years experience in a similar role
    • Organised, conscientious and self-motivated
    • Good communicator, working well under pressure
    • Analytical eye and creative mind
    • Ability to work confidently with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Photoshop
    • Technical understanding of social media and online
