eCommerce Production & Studio Manager

We are looking for an eCommerce Production & Studio Manager. Responsibilities of this role include management of the output of two global production centers that prepare product for online resale. This preparation includes, steaming, packaging, photography and data entry. Planning, scheduling, inventory management and team management are key elements of this role.

Production & Photography

  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day running of the 2 global production sites/studios (UK, & India)
  • Manage and coordinate the production process which include, steaming, packaging, pricing
  • Manage and coordinate the photography and data collection required for online retail
  • Accountable to the output and efficiency of the production/photographic process
  • Plan and schedule production according to the seasonal demand and the forecasted plan
  • Improve and strengthen the production work-flows of the team
  • Maintain and manage the catalogue of attributes, descriptions, etc ; ensuring correct
  • Maintaining and improving the category tree on the website.

Inventory Management

  • Manage inventory levels
  • Ensuring all factories have the supplies and materials required to function
  • Track and interpret the key performance indicators in inventory management and production
  • Establish the optimal stock and “safe ” stock levels given your understanding of our supply needs with input from other team members
  • Review and participate in demand forecasting and monthly review of seasonality
  • Plan weekly injection to the site ensuring newness of offering
  • Manage the order fluctuations that will affect lead times and back-orders
  • Managing the process for customer returns

Inter-Department Liaison

  • Working with multiple “departments “ with a common objective of maximizing sales and the customer experience, you will bring the “voice of production & photography” to the group

Performance Management and Improvement

  • Analysis of production in various locations and recommendations and implementation of improvements related to productivity, increase efficiencies, mitigate risks, resolve issues and optimize cost savings
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and developing production strategies to anticipate growth and capacity constraints
  • Liaise with IT resources to maintain production equipment to ensure continuity of production and minimal down-time

Staff and Workplace Development

  • Manage all production resources and activities including recruitment
  • Recommend improvements for production methods, operating procedures, health and safety and work conditions

The Candidate

  • Minimum 2 years of experience of proven operational planning roles or related function including management of a team
  • Relevant eCommerce experience an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledgeable in Tableau; willing to train
  • Project management experience that include dealing with external partners
  • An ability to work cooperatively in a fast paced, team environment
  • Good organizational skills with ability to identify and follow through on priorities
  • Self-motivated, flexible, very organized, detail-oriented, a strong problem solver; and able to work well under pressure
  • Strong analytical and computing skills
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team from a distance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel as required including a valid driver’s license and passport
