An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Press Assistant to join the Global Press Department at Beyond Retro. You’ll be working closely with the Global Press & Marketing Manager, as well being part of the Cheshire Street store team.

YOUR ROLE

You will need a keen eye for trends, a passion for vintage and natural aptitude for styling. You’ll be responsible for managing the press loan system, working closely with stylists to secure coverage in influential print and online publications and ensuring Beyond Retro product is shown in the best light. We are looking for an organised person with creative flair, who can organise the press loans system independently, handling remote styling call ins from magazines as well as administrative elements such as managing returns to dealing with a multitude of press enquiries.

Copywriting skills are highly desired as you will also have the opportunity to write blogs for the Beyond Retro website, assist the Senior Social Media coordinator in creating social content for a variety of platforms and write copy for weekly email marketing campaigns. You’ll also be asked to help maintain blogger and press relations, as well as researching to support Beyond Retro’s global press strategy.

You will also be in charge of monitoring all of our coverage, compiling weekly and monthly reports to then assist the larger press and marketing team in analysing successful campaigns and creating future press goals.

The role also includes involvement in Beyond Retro’s events, including logistical support leading up to in-store and off site events, as well as on the day assistance. You will also have the opportunity to assist in seasonal campaign and creative shoots.

YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO:

  • Respond to stylist and press enquiries

  • Manage stylist relations to secure coverage including booking press loan appointments and managing deposits

  • Process press loan returns

  • Monitor and report on coverage

  • Assist with blogger relations

  • Assist with event organisation and management

  • Research international marketing trends to contribute to global press strategy

  • Content creation for social media platforms and email marketing campaigns

  • Write pieces for the Beyond Retro blog
