Job Description:
As Store Manager you are responsible for: managing and controlling the overall operation of the store; reviewing and attaining the required level of profitability, ensuring that the store operates efficiently and optimum standards are maintained; recruiting, training and developing staff; encouraging effective performance and preparing staff for progression to new roles. Candidates must be able to demonstrate key competencies in leadership, commercial awareness, innovation, analysis and team work.
TASKS
Sales

• Motivate sales team ensuring maximum sales.
• Ensure staff maintains a high level of customer service.
• Inform/co-ordinate floor staff in daily/weekly duties.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop.
• Assist customers
• Carry out training and development to deliver the store sales target

Stock Control & Pricing

• Weekly sales and floor analysis
• Inform Manager about stock shortages/ customer requests/ fashion trends
• Oversee organized storage and maintain running inventory of off season stock
• Keep current on competitor pricing and stock.

Product Information

• Gain sound knowledge of all vintage clothing and continually update knowledge base.
• Stay current with fashions
• Research unfamiliar product
• Inform pricing staff of new product information
• Other duties as specified by the Managing Director

The ideal person will be creative and have good organizational skills.  The ability to communicate effectively at all levels is crucial for this position.   Applicant must have good knowledge of the local social scene and all aspects of popular culture.  Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience in fashion management.  Salary range 16,000 to 22,000.
